Dues and roster cuts approach
Sept. 1 is the day I need your $20 dues in my hands. Most of our coaches have paid and I thank you very much.
But a few haven't, so here's the deal: If I don't have your $20 dues in my hands by Sept. 15, I'll have to boot you out of the SABL and get a new coach for your team. I don't want to be looking for a new coach at draft time.
Also, keep in mind that roster cuts are due in my hands by Sept. 20. If your team has more than 14 players, you must cut down to 14 by Sept. 20. If I don't get your roster cuts by then, I'll make the cuts for you if you are over 14 players.

Classic Conference kills Royals 4 - 1
The Classic Conference romped over the Royal Conference in the 1998 SABL All-Star Series, 4 games to 1, as played by Holcomb Heat Coach Charlie Dillingham, with assistance from Finney Longhorn Coach Doug Dillingham and Garden City Gladiator Coach Josh Marquardt.
In Game 1, the Classics won 120-102. Shawn Kemp's 12 rebounds didn't save the Royals.
Game 2 saw the Royals get a 115-112 win, as Reggie Miller missed a three-pointer with four seconds left that woul've tied the game. Miller had 24 points in the game and Kemp had 11 boards and 18 points. Tim Hardaway had 12 assists and 18 points, but all this Royal actions wasn't quite enough to overcome the even team play of the Classics. John Stockton had 13 assists and 18 points for the Classics.
Game 3 - The Royals' Clyde Drexler lead his squad to their only win, 121-105, with 23 points. John Stockton's 12 assists and Shaq's 20 points weren't enough for the Classics this time.
Game 4 - The Classics did a 122-111 number on the Royals, as Michael Jordan scored 25 and had 6 assists.Reggie Miller had 20 for the Royals.
Game 5 - The Mailman delivered in the finale as the Classics won a scoring shootout 157-152. Karl Malone scored 31 with 6 rebounds for the Classics while Shaq had 14 rebounds and a dozen points. For the Royals, Tim Hardaway and Allen Iverson each had 20 points and Kemp had 10 rebounds.
Thanks to the Kansas crew for playing and enjoying this year's All-Star festivities!
