FROM COMMISSIONER SCOTT ELLIS, 2ND AMER. BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Autoplay Nick South's Blocher Bombers

Due to job and school pressures at the moment, please autoplay the Blocher Bombers for any remaining regular season games you may have with this team.

But don't count Nick out! Nick let me know this is just a temporary thing. He wants to keep his place in the SABL coaching ranks and plans on participating in the playoffs if he makes the 12-team cut.

Crazy commissioner changes mind

After receiving many emails of support from several coaches, I've decided to remain coach of the St. Lucie Aces. I guess I drank a little too much Zima.

We already have two coaching vacancies now, so maybe I shouldn't quit being a coach. Also, I gotta admit, I had second thoughts almost a week after I decided to do quit. I enjoy coaching very much. And heck, if Michael Jordan can change his mind, so can I.

But the main reason I'm staying a coach is because some of you have asked me to. That means a lot to me.

However, my main job is as your SABL Commissioner. I must reduce my coaching activities so I can do more writing and analysis of our teams, the cards and about our league's general health and future. I hope to start doing this more by the end of this season and carry that effort into next season.

Ads placed for coaches

Speaking of the SABL's future, it looks good! I've placed ads to run for the next year in Strat Fan. The ads should run on their website, too.

Please let me know if you have any candidates for our two vacancies, because these are good teams!
