FROM COMMISSIONER SCOTT ELLIS, 2ND AMER. BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Playoff Progress
he SABL playoffs are rolling along. In our mini-round, Jeff Stahl defeated Frank Rowley 4 games to 2 in a well-played series.
Yours truly then took out Jeff 4-1. Jeff said he considered his 113-111 victory in Game 3 a "moral victory."
Nick South defeated Phillip Creider to earn the right to play me in the top bracket of the semi-finals.
Steve Feldheim defeated Bill Robinson 4-2 in their first round match-up, giving Steve the right to play the other Steve in our league, Steve Walters in the other semi-final bracket.
Walters jolted Charles Dillingham out of the hunt 4-1. Game 2 was typical, as Steve slaughtered Chuck 132-93.
Late breaking news: I defeated Nick South 4 games to 1 in the top bracket semi-finals to make it to the 1997 SABL Championship Series. The Aces will take on the winner of the Steve vs. Steve series.
More late breaking news: Feldheims playoff magic continues as hes beaten Walters 2-0 in the first two games of the series, at Walters's home arena!

New Constitution
Check out our new constitution, posted on the web.
Its 25% over the year
Some coaches are confused about our new limitation rule. The new constitution covers it, but its simple a player can play 25% more than he did in real life the year before. That means if a guy played 2,000 minutes, he can play 2,500 in the SABL. And there are no per game limits or adjustments to a guys per game maximums either. But you can move minutes around and reduce per game minutes to solve fatigue problems due to SOMs stupid computer fatigue system.
