Welcome to the first SABL BS published on the World WideWeb!
In the SABL's continuing march into Cyberspace, this and all future editions of the SABL BS will be put on our league's web pages for your edification. This page ain't too pretty right now, but it is functional and we'll make it better as time goes on. If you have any suggestions that won't take me a heck of a lot of time to implement, let me know.
I made this sucker with Front Page 97 and it's a lot easier to do than the manual html coding I did for a real estate magazine in 1995. I want to make our web pages look nice, but I also want to make them easy to download and use. Let me know what you think!
It’s three, not two
It’s really three penalty points you get, not two or five, when you are late in sending game files and box scores to Steve Walters. I don’t want to send out an entirely new constitution for that, so make a note of it, or stay on time.

You'll notice a hot link at the top of our webpage for Win Zip 6.2. It's shareware, so download it (it's a self-extracting file) and it will self-install and you'll be able to unzip about any zip file around.
League files
From time to time I'll be uploading our league files, which will have all the latest SABL stats and records. Just download the self-extracting file and copy the extracted files into your sombk\leagues directory. I've named the files 199697z, so they shouldn't overwrite your "x" files.
For everyone with Internet connections, this will be the only way you'll get league stats and newsletters from now on. For those that don't, I'll send a paper copy of the newsletter to you along with a league stats disk. No more big bundles of stats in the mail It'll save me a bundle and probably keep dues at the $20 a year level for a while. Check up here every couple of weeks or so for the latest news. Electronic league
While I am moving toward an all-Internet, electronic file transfer kind of league, I want to stress that this is not a requirement for continued membership. I really like all the coaches we have now and I'd like to see everyone stay forever. I'd also like to see you all on the Internet using our web pages, too.
On second thought . . .
Will Aubrey has decided not to join us after all. That means we are looking for another coach for his team. I have an ad placed in Strat Fan's May issue. Let me know if you know someone who might want and get the first pick in next year's draft to go with Glenn Robinson.
Autoplay all of the remaining games on the schedule with the Aubrey/Sill team and send the results on disk to Steve Walters.
