Our new website

Yes, our web pages are moving once again! I’ve switched Internet service to my local cable TV provider and man, is this new cable modem fast! Wowie Zowie!

Playoff changes

In an effort to spread post-season gaming fun to as many SABL coaches as possible, we’re expanding the playoffs from 8 teams to 12 this season. We’re also going back to having conference champs that will play each other for the overall SABL championship.

Here’s who makes the playoffs:

  1. The four divisional winners
  2. Teams with the next four best records in the Royal Conference.
  3. Teams with the next four best records in the Classic Conference.

The Royal Conference wild card teams, seeded by won-lost records, would play each other, with the winning two teams taking on the conference divisional winners in Round Two. The same thing will be going on the Classic Conference.

Round Three will be the Conference Championships and Round Four will be the SABL Championships.

Who’s trading?

Heat sends Jayson Williams to Aces for H. Hawkins and Galactic’s 2nd Draft Pick.

Finney sends Chapman to Austin for Goldwire.

Galactic sends Kerr to Jayhawks for Porter.

Druids trade O. Miller and their 2nd pick to Dazzlers for Trent.

Rosters frozen

Our pre-season trading period is over and rosters are now frozen until Dec. 31. Any trades made from Nov. 3 – 30 go into effect Dec. 31, Segment 4.

Also, you must have no more than 12 active players on your roster, with up to two inactive. You must designate which players will be inactive and active for each schedule segment.

SABL minutes

A word of warning: The SABL Minutes Guide is just that, a guide. You are not allowed, under any circumstances, to program your players for MORE minutes per game than they have on their cards.

You can PLAY your players more, and watch them fag out, but you cannot PROGRAM them for more minutes. That would be unfair and unrealistic and it won’t be allowed in the SABL. Check the SABL Constitution.
